Gouache & acrylic on grey mount board
21cm x 29.7cm (A4)
A tiger pounces at its prey… Perhaps the pronking blackbuck?
This exceptionally intricately detailed tiger was inspired by the traditions of Indo-Persian miniature paintings, and a love of tigers themselves. I am lucky enough to have tigers living wild, just a two-hour drive from my home; I hope this painting displays the stunning appearance and raw power of these magnificent creatures, as this tiger pounces out of its delicate gold acrylic border.
“Pouncing Tiger” is a striking painting on its own, but would also form a perfect and amusing diptych together with “Pronking Blackbuck”.
